July Safety Champion

We are delighted to announce that the title of Safety Champion for the month of July was officially awarded to Pedro Nunes; A/B on board FS Balmoral.
The award was presented to Pedro for his observation regarding a non-operational fire flap on board the vessel. Upon closer inspection, it was noticed that the damper could not be correctly closed if the weather tight door that is was situated above was closed.
It was only during routine monthly maintenance that Pedro made the observation and reported the issue to the Chief Officer, and from there the team on board were able to rectify the unsafe condition.
We would like to thank Pedro for his attentiveness to a routine task, and his proactive contribution to maintaining safety within our fleet, congratulations!
Once again, a huge thank you to all safety card observations that we received throughout the month, as always we are grateful for the continued contribution to our safety culture.
